Sperry re-branding
creative director/art director
Sperry’s growth was being held back by their preppy, privileged, and self-admittedly douchey reputation. Channeling the intrepid spirit of their founder, Paul Sperry, we rebuilt the brand from the ground up. Introducing, Odysseys Await.
Art director: me /// Art director: T. Scott Major /// copywriter: adam ridgeway ///designer:
In addition to a new positioning, logo, and visual language, we even created a new line of shoes, The Paul Sperry Collection.
Fall 2015

We continued to make video, print, in-store, and lookbooks that encouraged people to explore outside of their comfort zones. Showcasing the product being used the way Paul Sperry intended made the brand relevant again.

Holiday 2015
creative director
For the 2015 holidays, we sent two tattoo artists to New Zealand to learn the ancient art of Maori tattooing. As a part of the Odyssey Project we created a documentary, and a fully integrated holiday campaign that included custom-tattooed shoes, perfect for holiday gifts.
We partnered with illustrator Jon Contino to create graphics for social posts, In-store, and wild postings.
Check out the Odyssey Project , an experimental/social activation, and a massive undertaking.
